CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES 

KIDS CAN Mission Project

During the month of July our children are sponsoring and will be collection school supplies for students at Vena Stuart Elememtary that are unable to purchase supplies for this upcoming year.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate any of the following to help with this cause:

Backpacks, antibacterial hand sanitizer, Clorox or Lysol wipes, pink pearl block erasers, boxes of quart size ziplok bags, glue sticks, packages of baby wet wipes, packages of index cards, #2 pencils, packages of 16 colored pencils, bottles of school glue, pencil cap erasers, boxes of facial tissue, blunt-tip & fiskars scissors, boxes of 24 count Crayola crayons, plastic supply boxes (cigar box size)/zipped pouches, boxes of sandwich size Ziplok bags, solid color paper pocket folders with brongs, classic color markers, inexpensive headphones, 70 sheets wide-ruled spiral notebooks, yellow highlighters, notebok paper (standard rule) plastic folders w/pockest & prongs, rolls of paper towels, black & white composition books.

You'll find the drop box in hallway by the stairs between choir room and sanctuary; or bring by the church office by July 30th.  The children will be assembling thes items into backpacks for distribution.

 

Upward Basketball Camp July 19-21 and July 21-23

July 19-21 for rising kindergarten thru 2nd grade from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and rising 3rd grade to 8th grade July 21-23 from noon to 4:00 p.m. Registration fee is $30.00.  Forms are available in the Church office until July 15.

 

 

 Sunday School

Sunday school classes for pre-school ages 3-5yrs. meet downstairs in the classrooms behind the Sanctuary.  K thru 5th grade meets upstairs in the Children’s Education Wing.  Classes start at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning.

 

Children's Worship

A ministry for children ages 3-5 yrs and K- 3rd grade.  This age appropriate worship gives children an opportunity to sing, pray together, listen to Bible stories, and participate in activities which enhance Bible knowledge.  Dismissal is from Treasure Cove and Kid’s Zone for parent pick-up following worship services.

Wednesday Night Programs

There are a variety of awesome activities we offer children on Wednesday evenings such as choir, Bible study, arts and crafts, games, and faith development movie clips and discussions.

Nursery & Child Care

Provided on Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. for infants through 3 years of age.
Child care is also available for infant through pre-school age on Wednesday during small group opportunities and choir/Merge practices, as well as all special worship opportunities.

Special Events

The Children’s Council sponsors a large array of fun programs and activities.  Watch for details as they are forthcoming.  There will be a Fall Festival, Christmas Party, Easter Party, Special Events Parties, and much, much, more. 

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading

This is our 6th season to offer Upward Basketball.  Cheerleading is included.  Registration takes place the month of October, for children in grades K-8.  Registration forms will be available in the church office and online.
