Praise Singers

This special ensemble (invitational only) is a group of dedicated musicians that prepare for 8:45 services each week. The majority of these members also sing in the Chancel Choir at 11:00am. A diversity selection of music is presented by these special musicians.

Adult Chancel Choir

Each Sunday the Chancel Choir and musicians render service in some capacity. Our goal is threefold:

• to use our gifts to glorify the Father
• to share our gifts with the congregation
• to serve our church with commitment and dedication.

The Chancel Choir is open to all members of the congregation who has the commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ each Sunday through music.

The Fall will bring wonderful opportunities for the Chancel Choir. Another hymn sing, anthems and special selections is planned for Sunday October 18, 2009. Additionally, our annual Christmas Cantata with orchestra will be presented on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Another special Unity service is also being planned.

Highlights of the Chancel Choir:

 

• Voted Best Choir 2005, 2006 by Gallatin News Examiner
• Host to Shalom Zone Concert which has raised over $20,000 in scholarships for Volunteer State Community College students since its infancy
• Presented 2 joint Christmas Concert with Gallatin Presbyterian Church Choir

 

MERGE Praise Band

Our MERGE Worship Team offers lively praise and reverent worship with a blend of contemporary and modern music each Sunday morning at 11:00 am as we week an intimate relationship with our Lord. We are always blessed to have talented musicians and singers join us who desire to offer their God-given gifts to our worship experience.

Upcoming CD release

Sunday, May 17, 2009, the Music Department presented a music worship service The Gift of Music-Our Token of Praise. This unique worship service was led by the Chancel Choir, the Praise Singers, other ensembles, instrumentalist, and special soloist, Bishop William Morris.

The Gift of Music-Our Token of Praise is our gift to the congregation as we recorded some of our favorite anthems and songs. The congregation is featured in this CD singing “Victory In Jesus”. CDs will be available for purchase through the church office in September.
